Privacy Policy

1. What the app creates

Using the app creates the following. All of it is stored on your device.

• Tasks, subtasks, category names, due dates, repeat settings and completion state
• Handwritten notes you make with Apple Pencil, and their titles
• App settings such as reminder time and display language

This is simply what you typed or wrote. The app does not attach your name, phone number, address, location, contacts or photo library to it, and never asks for any of those. There is no sign-up and no login.

2. iCloud sync

If iCloud is enabled on your device, the data above is stored in your own iCloud account through Apple CloudKit and synced to your other devices signed in with the same account. That storage belongs to you; the developer has no access to it.

If you'd rather not sync, turn iCloud off for this app in your device settings. Your data then stays on that one device.

The Windows app signs in with your Apple Account to use the same iCloud. Sign-in goes through a page on dahaesseo.com but is handled by Apple directly, so the developer never sees your password. The session key Apple issues afterwards is kept only in your user folder on that PC (%APPDATA%\dahaesseo) and is never sent to the developer. Signing out removes it.

3. Adding tasks by voice

The microphone turns on only while you're using the voice input button. What you say is converted to text by Apple's speech recognition and placed in your task list.

One thing worth knowing. Depending on your device and language, Apple's speech recognition may send the audio to Apple's servers for accuracy. That processing is done by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. The developer plays no part in it and never receives your audio or its transcription.

No recording is saved in the app. Once your speech becomes text, the audio is gone. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings; typing tasks works exactly the same without it.

4. Notifications

Deadline reminders are scheduled by your device itself. Nothing about your tasks leaves the device in order to send them. The app holds remote-notification permission because Apple uses it for the iCloud sync described in section 2 — not to send you marketing or announcements.

5. What we don't collect

To be explicit, this app has none of the following.

• Usage analytics (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, nothing of the kind)
• Advertising, or collection of advertising identifiers
• Third-party SDKs — the app uses only what Apple provides
• Any feature that sends your tasks or notes to the developer
• Sign-up, login or accounts

The apps contact the developer's website (dahaesseo.com) for only two things, and both just download a public list: devices with a pass bought on our website fetch the list of refunded passes (order numbers only) to close refunded passes, and the Windows app checks for a newer version when it starts and every six hours. These requests carry the app version and Windows type (standard or ARM), never your tasks, notes or account details.

If you buy the unlock inside the app, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. The developer never receives or sees your card or payment details — only whether a purchase exists, as reported by Apple.

6. Deleting your data

You can delete tasks and notes inside the app. Deleting the app removes the data held on that device. Anything stored in iCloud can be removed from your device settings under iCloud → Manage Storage.

There is no retention period. Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud until you delete it, and then it's gone.

7. This website

The pre-launch waiting list closed on 6 October 2026, and every email address we had collected was deleted then. This website no longer collects email addresses.

This website uses no cookies and no tracking scripts. It does count, on the server, how often each page is opened and which site visitors arrived from. Only three things are recorded — the date, the page address, and the referring domain. Nothing that could identify a person, such as an IP address or browser details, is stored. These counts are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Note also that the site is served through Cloudflare and NAVER Cloud, so those companies may keep ordinary access logs (including IP addresses) for operations and security.

8. Buying the lifetime pass on our website

When you buy the pass in the Windows app or on our website, Polar (Polar Software, Inc., our merchant of record) handles the payment for non-Korean screens, and KakaoPay for Korean screens. Your name, email address and card details go straight to them and never reach the developer.

As merchant of record, Polar keeps your email, country and payment details to send receipts and handle sales tax, under Polar's own privacy policy (polar.sh/legal/privacy-policy).

The developer keeps only the following, and uses it only to confirm your pass and to answer support or refund requests:

• The order number (for example DH20261024-XXXXXXXX)
• The payment provider's transaction number, amount and currency, and the time of payment
• The time of a refund, if any
• The pass signature (the value the app uses to verify your pass)

These records are kept for five years as payment records under Korean e-commerce law, then deleted. Orders that were started but not paid are deleted after one day.

9. Service providers

• Polar (Polar Software, Inc., USA) — payments, refunds and sales tax for purchases outside Korea
• KakaoPay — payments and refunds for purchases in Korea
• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — website and order records; order records may be stored in Cloudflare's data centres outside Korea
• NAVER Cloud — website files
• Apple — iCloud sync, Apple Account sign-in and in-app purchases

10. Children

The app is not directed at any particular age group, and it neither asks for nor verifies age. Since no personal information is collected in the first place, no child's information reaches the developer.

11. Changes to this policy

If new features change how data is handled, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. For anything significant — a new category of collected data, for instance — it will also be noted in the app's release notes.
